On March 28th, a devastating earthquake hit the country of Myanmar. The death toll is now close to 4,000 and is expected to pass 10,000. The earthquake has left the people of Myanmar, once again, in a tragic situation. They are without food, without homes, without medical care. and without much support from others. And yet, it is in the midst of the tragedy that the church of God rises up. Glory Project personnel were immediately mobilized to serve in the most hard-hit places. Within two days, they were on the ground helping provide medical resources, water, food, blankets, and more. The church of Myanmar has emerged as a vital force to bring restoration and healing to this land.

Earthquakes. No one wants to hear about them. No one wants to feel them. No one wants to experience them. Yet earthquakes can shake up some much needed things that have laid dormant for many years. Especially, when it comes to your soul. Too many us go through the motions of life, giving little thought to eternity. Earthquakes awaken us to ask spiritual questions about who we are and why we are made. Does my life matter? Is this all there is to life? What purpose in my living for? Why I am here? Praise God that Glory Project personnel, missionaries, and pastors have been counseling victims of the earthquake providing answers to these questions.

One family lost their home they just finished building two days prior to the earthquake. A young wife, married only a month, lost her husband. Thousands are without shelter or food. Why so much pain? Why so much suffering? Why are you here? People are asking these questions more and more because it is becoming clearer that we live in a broken world. The world is in pain, crying out for a deliverer. The church most NOW EMERGE. Emerge out of our slumber and dormancy to be ready. Ready to give an answer for the questions people are asking. So, are you ready? What will you say when someone comes to you during their earthquake asking why?

"Always be ready to make a defense to everyone who asks you to give an account for the hope that is in you." (1 Pet. 3:15).
